Born in 1995 in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan.
After graduating high school, he wandered across the US and Asia searching for his own path. Returning home driven by an unshakeable urge to become a film director, he launched his career as an independent filmmaker while studying cinema.
Early on, he led the film production team for renowned photographer Leslie Kee for a decade, directing international shoots across Paris and Milan. Directing visuals for global top maisons including Yohji Yamamoto, Armani, and MARC JACOBS, he honed a singular palette and vivid aesthetic on the front lines of high fashion.
Rooted in Japanese heritage and fine arts, his craft defies conventions. Drawing inspiration from anime and contemporary art, he pursues an elegance born from subtraction—infusing every single cut with narrative depth to earn acclaim both at home and abroad.
In late 2024, he established SASURAI to dedicate himself fully to cinema. Works include SUPER MARC JACOBS THE MOVIE and Symphony No.0, officially selected for SSFF & ASIA 2026 and the Yokohama International Film Festival.
Refusing conventional boundaries, he follows pure curiosity. His journey to capture raw emotion continues across the globe, exploring new horizons with the next generation of creators.

Led by director Daichi Mihara, visionary artists, filmmakers, craftspeople, musicians, novelists, manga artists, producers, designers, copywriters, and animators from Japan and across the globe gather under SASURAI. We curate bespoke teams tailored precisely to the scale and nature of each creative endeavor.
